power switch for blinds

Post by philljenk » Fri Dec 10, 2010 2:04 pm

I am trying to separate the power connector from the rear drivers side blind switch. Is there a trick to do this as it seems very reluctant to separate.
I would hate to damage it by forcing. Any help would be appreciated
thanks

Not looked at that particular switch, but yes normally there are clips that need depressing or sometimes lifting to allow release of the loom cables.

I find that a short moan about the economy and the price of fuel is usually enough to do the trick! Happy to Help! :)

cant find any obvious kind of clip on it. There is a white bit and brown bit with the connector pins on the back of the switch, I need to reposition the switch on a side conversion. Any other thoughts would be appreciated. thanks

From memory, they just pull apart to disconnect the switch from the loom connector....

I did a little modding over the sliding door a while back, & had the rear panel out too!

I would not be too difficult to extend the loom & reposition the blind switch...
Cheaper by comparison to a race horse...

Success...very simple little lug on the white connector, press down and hey presto they are separated.
