The last couple of times we have started the Bongo it makes a sort of swooshing noise which you can hear clearly from within the cabin, but not so if you lift the bonnet and listen there. If I were to guess it's a noise of water quickly going "swoosh-swoosh-swoosh" and the rate increases with the engine revs. After about ten minutes the noise goes as the water temperature increases.
I've checked the coolant level and it's fine.
We had a replacement water pump fitted a year ago and the coolant completely replaced about four months ago.
Any ideas? I've checked the archive and can't find a description similar to this.
Happy New Year to all by the way!

ive only ever heard this on one motor before, and when checked out it was found to have loads of air in the coolant system.suggest you get it checked out urgent.
do a pressure test on it to.it will probably be leaking, and sucking in air as it cools, this air has been known to hold up the coolant level,so no drop is noticed.

Thanks for the reply. Is there an easy way I can do a pressure test myself?
