Post by eppiblue » Wed Jan 05, 2011 2:11 pm

Anyone upgraded to the new 'modern' wipers? I have a 2.5TD 4x4 and need some new blades... Im curious as to if these are any good?

Hi there,

I have used the newer aero blades on my bongo. First set on ebay were great, next set were no good at all, didn't make good contact with the screen.

I have now stated using the Tesco finest flat blades, they work a treat and last a good while too. If you can get those directly it's both easier and if they dont' work out you can return them.

From memory they are around £3 to £4 each.

Regards

Andy

They don't sound like the bargain of the century though - I've bought a new blade for as little as £3 I think when on offer in Tesco. There's nothing especially magical about Bongo blades (which the ebay vendor appears to want you to think and pay for). What's Bongobits price for a set, out of interest? have a search on here for options as its been talked about before (aero style blades have appealed to some in the past)

I use the TESCO flat style wiper blades too. No complaints about them.

I have the "aero flat" type blades fitted to my bongo and they have always performed well. They have been on there a couple of years now (e-bay sourced by DBO) . My only gripe... (and this is in my own experience of all aero blades) Is that they make a graunching noise when the screen is damp (not wet) when the weather is cold...
