Dodgy wiring

Post by daveblueozzie » Thu Jan 13, 2011 10:56 pm

I need a bit of advice :shock:
A couple of weeks ago BDC and me were driving around the beautiful town of Warrington #-o :lol: ;
I had my fancy plasma dials switched on (one monitors the main battery, the other the leisure battery) and Ste noticed that when the spot lights were switched on in the dark country lanes the leisure battery power went down [-X .in fact it dropped to under 10 volts :shock: [-X
The next day i checked this peculiarity out and found out the spot lights are wired to my leisure battery (not guilty ,not by my doing [-X ) I don't think this is a good thing as I don't think the split charge will put enough power back into the LB.
My question (eventually :oops: ) the spots do run through a relay and seperate fuses, can i just move the feed wire from the LB to the main starter battery ? or will it have to go to a switched feed?
Lost without my Bongo.

Dave, you should be able to swap the feed over to your main battery as it is - or should be - a direct supply from the battery to the relay - my feed is protected by a 15 amp fuse. Hope this helps. Ian.

All sorted =D> it was just the one wire feed from the LB to take off and transfer to the main battery :D .
Also found a loose connection to the LB fixed that, and now that's charging properly. =D> =D>
