Given that the smaller valves are rare these parts, your best option would be to have the valve holes drilled out to accept the standard euro size valve. I refurbed a set of bongo wheels last year and had the holes drilled out to accept the standard sized valves, i thought it the best solution to a possible problem in the future.

Hello again with an update!
Found a company called Hazelton Wheels and Tyres in Hillington Industrial estate. The guy there told me that the valves had become detached from the screws and fixed them just like that! He also said that he could source them for future use at £10 a piece. So wheels sorted with new rubber caps instead of the metal ones. Not as bad as I had feared.
Thanks again
Annie! :P

So do you mean it was just the valve inserts had come loose then, as opposed to the actual fitment in the wheel?

Some tyre caps have the valve screw moulded on top, or sometimes come with tyre pressure gauges. Which I lost pretty quickly.

Had the same problem only this week. Took the Bongo to my local garage who replaced the valve and sealed the rims for £10!
Valves are 4mm not standard uk 6mm. =D>
