The nature of Bongoing tends to work out with charging... On the way there you probably do at least an hour and a half of driving possibly more like 3 and on the way back you do the same so it should be ok. Also when not camping you probably hardly use the leisure battery.

I'm probably gonna get a hook up lead and a small oil filled radiator for the cold weather, I was considering a small fan blower that runs on 12v Ring make one but not sure if it would be a waste of money :-k

I would like a kit but

at the moment only my radio and interior light runs on the lesuire battery, I would like the back cig lighter to run on it to, is this possible,
the front one has the coolant alarm plugged into it so i need that on the start up battery.

cheers

Why?
The coolant alarm won't care which battery it gets power from.

You can re-wire the rear cig socket to run off either battery. Best way, if you have an unconverted Bongo, is to just run new cables from the L/B, via a fuse, through the bulkhead, over the doors, along to the back corner, and drop down to the bottom panel. Obviously a lot of internal panels have to come off for this.

It is worth doing though - the original wiring is pretty weedy.

I had the same issues initially installing the coolant alarm and ialert off the cigarette lighter, then when I installed the leisure battery it then powered this from that - I don't want all that stuff on all the time!

Obvioulsly you can move them which I did....

When you install the great kit this thread started talking about you free up 3 fuse connectors, (2 switched a 1 permanent) these having a feed from the startup battery - I have used the little spades, like the ones that come with the kit to run a new switched supply in for all these devices, now they all work from the startup battery! Just had to add an inline fuse.

If you need more detailed help just PM and I will show you how
