Hi,
My bongo has failed MOT on the following:
Nearside Front (inner wheel arch) Body has excessive displacement which may lead to loss of vehicle control (6.1.2a)
I also have similar advisorys for the offside front and rear (inner wheel) body,
Any ideas how i might go about fixing this? Presumably it is something to do with where the chasis is joined to the body? Anyone else have similar problems?
Cheers

Hi,
Not sure what they mean.
Too much body roll?
Could require new shock absorbers/ dampers
or could be an anti-roll bar problem.
How technically minded are you?

Hi iI think it means the vehicle has too much rust/corrosion..2.skater wrote:Hi,

a. Excessive displacement of the body relative to the chassis which might lead to loss of control of the vehicle when driven
b. insecurity of the body or its
supporting members to the chassis so that it is clear that there would be a danger to other road users.
3. Any deliberate modification, excessive corrosion, damage, cracks or inadequate repair of a load bearing body or chassis member which seriously affects its strength within 30 cm of the body mountings.
Body Condition
Cheers.

Go back and ask exactly what do they mean by the description and also ask what repairs are needed for a pass.

Thanks for your help and advice! It was indeed a corrosion problem. Needed some welding under the wheel arch. All sorted, just waiting for the bill now!
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
