won't start

hi all, what a great start to the week flat tyre and my bongo wont start. i spent all sunday cleaning inside and out checked oil water etc touched up paint lots of T cut bongo looks great but dead. It does turn over but thats it ive checked glow plugs and voltage to rail and relay. Everything was fine yesterday no problems i put some redex in filled up and did the temp gauge modification went for drive.When i was trying to start it this morning i did notice blue smoke from the exhaust and it has always been lumpy in the morning any ideas anyone?

how old are the glow plugs and what make

It's 99% glow plugs, especially as you already had lumpy running to start with. Testing them for continuity doesn't necessarily mean they are getting hot enough.

thanks for the replies yep i think its glow plugs started tonight with a bit of easy start i will be replacing at the weekend

had that problem and its the glow plugs as said replace all with ngk brand if your do it as some cheaper ones have different ends/don't last. imo
the way to check them is to take them out and power them up to see if they glow red hot on the tip if you not done the test before.

I ordered some NGK glowplugs today to be fitted today £32 delivered for 4 :wink:
