No power to rear wiper

Post by dave crew » Sat Jan 29, 2011 5:45 pm

My rear wiper / washer has never worked since I bought the Bongo, the guy before me had taken the arm off altogether.
Now the wife has mythered me enough to try and fix it.
Got no power to it though (?) Did a multimeter test at the connector block to the wiper motor.
The fuse is fine, and on a visual check there doesn't appear to be anything wrong on the stalk.
Any suggestions?

There are several connectors en-route but I wouldn't expect them to give a problem;

The Stalk switches the Earth to the two motors, so it might be worth checking the Earth connection and connector D1-01 if neither motor runs ?

Most likely place for a failure would be in the flexible rubber area between chassis and rear door I suspect ?

there's a whole loom going through there right(?), odd that just these specific ones would be affected.
I'll have a closer look in daylight tomorrow.
Cheers for your help

Yes but there aren't that many wires in X30 these two and - is your Number plate light working ?
