Stereo drawing current

Anyone know what current should be drawn by a car stereo - mine appears to have a constant 0.6 amps, even with the face plate off. Disconnected it until I can sort it!

Is it by any chance a lidl / aldi make? These quite often have a high draw if you put them onto a leisure battery.

stick an isolating switch in line

It's a JVC unit - and I think it has only recently started doing this. Frustratingly little online information about the subject on the manufacturers websites.
