Bongo Audio
Just finished fitting new (seconhand) stereo (thanks for all the help regarding antenna adaptor got it sorted at Halfords) but now the LCD screen of the stereo is virtually blank well more very very dim. Is it a backlight problem and lets be honest is it worth the time and effort to replace required bits if I can when a new stereo will probably cost less and be less work?

I can't remember which ones were affected, but was there not an issue with Silvercrest stereos drawing so much current in standby that people were getting flat leisure batteries?

Re: Bongo Audio
I had horrible problems with an Aldi stereo, which drained the leisure battery and also produced all sorts of electrical funnies. B*witched Blingo also had something similar, with the stereo misbehaving plus Bluetooth problems.
I ditched mine, took it back for a refund in fact. Replaced it with a Sonny and no further problems with leisure battery drain.
