Stopping at junctions problem solved !

Post by slow_n_low » Fri Feb 18, 2011 1:16 am

Thought id update you on the prob i had. After three garages checking it out and luckily not charging me as they could find no fault, and checking myself from all the advise given on forums i went back to the simpelist one that i had checked before.
But this time instead of doing it when the problem arose which didnt make a difference as it still kept cutting out at junctions and roundabouts after about 30 miles or so ie taking the diesel cap off, i did it before starting a long jorney from Leeds to Suffolk.
And it drove like a dream nice and smoooooth all the way and ever since, even giving me more to the gallon, i also stuck a cup of parrafin in the tank for good measure, well you never know as i had tried bio fuel but had changed the filter since too.
Tried the original diesel cap just to check it was that and prob back again so got a universal cap from a petrol station and hey presto sorted.
I did clean the original cap but it is still blocked, have ordered another so no bother.

Anyway thanks to all for the help and advise, you saved me a fortune as the last resort would have been to take it in another specialist garage to find prob at whatever cost :P

Well done on sorting the problem mate, the stress has suddenly lifted. Do yourself a favour now Neil and spend just a little on getting the latest maps put on your Tom Tom. Couldnt believe how many extra miles you drove that day :D :D
