Post by flossie » Thu Mar 03, 2011 3:40 pm

Hi

Is anyone going this year? I noticed some of you did last year. Tickets went on sale on Tuesday; not sure about the line up but im sure itll be a cracking weekend anyway. Considering Fri and Sat however there is 1 act that I particularly want to see on each of the three days ... decisions decisions .... :?

11 - 13 August near Banbury in Oxfordshire for those who arent familiar.

I have been to Cropredy more times than I can count, my first was in 1993 with my dad!

We're almost certainly going again this year - asked my nephew and niece whether they wanted to go again (despite the vomit incident* and the almost constant rain last year) and they were jumping up and down with excitement so I guess that was a yes!

The lineup is OK this year, no-one I'd be really upset about missing actually but like most festivals Cropredy is not just about the music - and there are usually some acts I've never heard of before who turn out to be really good.

Definitely going. The atmosphere is more important than the bill. You know Fairport will manage to turn up anyway
At no other festival have I found my neighbours have bought their pet ferrets. Really cute and kept on leads. I did not introduce them to my dog.

One at which to be glad you have a Bongo at. Two out of the last four have been wet, in fact very wet. Having a warm dry Bongo to watch the rain from is a very smug making experience. So is to listen to the screams in the night when surrounding tents blow away and you have a roof with no leaks, a comfy bed and a floor above the mud. =D> =D>

The place is like a Bongo rally anyway. Bongos everywhere. Even outnumbering possibly the VWs.

I went last year with my combi-camper friends. Apart from the rain it was really good. We met up at 6:30 on the Thursday morning, drove in in convoy to make sure we were together and managed to get really good pitches in the field directly next to the arena field.

Could hear the music from the bongo! Cool in that weather!

Almost definitely going again but loathe to part with the cost of the ticket at the moment :(

They usually don't sell out for quite a while and provided you buy while you've still got the early bird price, you should be OK.
