cant get 4th gear fault code 38??

Hi guys on way home got a hold light,with though the process of finding code and found it was code 38.we have a r rag fredia diesel.

Anyone know what this maybe,ive had code 12 b4 which was tps

code 38 excessive use of cooking oil / cod fillet traped in banjo filter ? :wink: :roll:

Sorry Jez - I've just read this in the factsheet "Remember that this will only work reliably for pre-1997 gearboxes only;
subsequent models display fault codes differently. For help with interpreting fault
codes on later gearboxes, contact a specialist service centre.

yep looks like there maybe a prob in there,only when we boot it!

and no onion baji stuck in fuel lines dont worry!

Have you checked the ATF level? First thing I'd look at.

cheers ,yep..seems like we have trouble in gerbox,being taken to auto gear box man next week to have some sensers fitted.
