Hi
Still having problems with my zig/fridge internal power.
Decided to take out the leisure battery out, gave it a trickle charge for 13 hours its now registers 12-7.
Is it finished? what can I do with it?
Maybe get a new one, its 2 years old but to be honest has always given me trouble
Cheers
Travis

Re: Help Leisure Battery not holding charge
13 hours on a trickle charger (presumably about 1.5A) won't put much power in at all.
12.7 isn't a bad reading if you let the battery stand for a few hours before checking it. If you did it straight after removing the charger, it will be a false reading.

Agree with previous posters......if it's 2yr old then could be time to change it dependent on use and Gtee, mines on a 3yr Gtee and to be honest if it plays up this year it's done it's job....and the Gtee is out anyway...

Re: Help Leisure Battery not holding charge
A decent leisure battery should last a lot more than 2 years, unless you have let it disharge below 50%. On the basis your battery is 80Ahr and was pretty low on a trickle charger you will need several days to bring up to near full capacity. I would suggest you either put it on a decent size charger for not less than 24 hours or continue with the trickle charger for a week then let it rest for several hours before checking the voltage. Finally if it is a wet acid battery make sure it is properly topped up.

Interesting coincidence, I let my LB run flat over the winter
and it's sat in the hallway on charge at the moment using a Lidl charger. It's less than a year old, hopefully it will recover.
