Little pipe coming off air intake broken!

Dear All,

I've just noticed that a very small diameter pipe coming off the air in take has broken off. The pipe runs from the air intake up to an electronic sensor or valve or something the back under the top of the engine compartment. What does this pipe do? I notice the previous owner has tried to glue it back on. Any smart ideas on how to fix this one?

if its what Im thinking of it goes to a vacume semsor and I broke mine when I was doing the egr blanking

I glued mine back with super glue but I was told you can just blank it off and wont notivce any difference

Ok I have identified the broken part. You find it on the diesel turbocharger parts exploded drawing as part 1330 this is a large diameter pipe connecting to the air cleaner. Just after the air cleaner-turbo join there is fine diameter plastic nipple where a hose joins into the main pipe. That nipple has broken off on my Bongo. What does this hose do? and how much of a job would it be to find and replace 1330? Thanks

Hi Bonnie,
I think the nipple your talking about is 1375/93-5104 if it was me i would just super glue it back on, or araldite.

You can see where the hoses go i think they go to the cold idle solenoids or air con solenoid Hope some one else can confirm.

http://www.lushprojects.com/bongopartsmk2/1R27291.gif This shows the part. It is labeled with an arrow going to 1375/93-5104 I have used a good amount of epoxy and a washer to glue it back on. In the process I broke the little green and white non return valve so I epoxied that to!
