Row of poppers just inside the sliding door

On mm Bongo there is a row of poppers (press studs) just inside the sliding door in the carpet. Does anyone know what they are for?

Yep, there's a thin strip of carpet that matches the rest on the back.... pops straight on!

Not my Bongo, but found an image for you... A thousand words & all that!?

My Bongo has a pop on fancy carpet. Keeps the carpet in place and allows easy removal for cleaning.

This strip of carpet seems to be missing on a lot of bongos for some reason #-o - wonder if is because it it gets stood on when the rear passengers get in and it gets filthy - mine was missing and it took four years to get a matching piece #-o as there are so many variations in the colours / patterns. Best chance of getting one may be to ask any of the converters if the have one lying around in the colour you need. :)
