AFT switch

Post by ADAMD » Tue May 03, 2011 7:32 am

Hi, Please can somebody tell me the correct way to remove the AFT up/down switch -
Mine is a bit dodgy and the contacts could do with a clean.
thanks

Are you sure it's the AFT switch that's dodgy?

The handbrake switch needs to be made for the AFT to move, and it's a very open switch in an area where it can collect dust / fluff / etc. Lift up the centre console and look at the handbrake itself, the switch is at the back.

No idea how to get the AFT switch out, but I'd guess that it just pops out of the headlining.

If it is anything like my sunroof switch, it does... The actual switch clips inside a "bezel" that clips up to the head lining (part 66-382) http://www.lushprojects.com/bongopartsm ... no=.html#2 should just pop out with gentle leverage.. You can get like old computer ball "mouse mung" on the contacts..!
Cheaper by comparison to a race horse...
