Digital Climate controls stuck on

Post by Vodkanites » Tue May 03, 2011 4:28 pm

Can anyone help us. We have had our 1999 new shape bongo for 3 weeks now and all was fine until today. The digital climate controls are stuck on. The green air directional light is flashing constantly and it is blowing cold air out, it won't turn off when we press the off button and we cannot turn up the temperature. It was soo cold at 5am this morning going to work. Has anyone any suggestions please?? :(

Welcome to the forum.

From the flashing it means you have selected the Rear controls, press and hold the Rear button and it will revert to the front controls, press the Rear once and the Rear will come on, press and hold Rear for a few seconds and it will flash to indicate your controlling the rear and not the front for mode, press briefly and the rear will turn off.

If you have the small vehicle users handbook its all in there.

Thanks Geoff for your informative reply, we now know how the buttons work.

The rear button was stuck in slightly on the front panel, damn kids been messing. It now seems to be a dodgy button so will have to gentle with it.

Thanks again :D

No problems, it was several months before we even realised how to turn it on from the front!
