bump sound from rear
Near my house there is a right turn up a fairly steep hill and the camber of the road at the turn also drops to the left. When I turn into this road there is a single bump sound from the left hand rear end. This is the only time I get it. I had both rear roll bar brackets replaced last August. I've taken the tools, jack etc out of the toolbox but it is still there. The bump seems to have a slight 'creak' with it too! Anyone had this, suggestions etc?

Panhard rod bushes ?

Drain cover on the bend?
Actually I think my Bongo may have developed a similar problem so I'm interested in finding out the answer.

if you jack it up at the rear, then place on good quality axle stands under the rear axle tube, letting the suspension drop/relax,then get a suitable bar and give everything a poke and prod it should come to light.
most likely candidates are rear droplinks,or the rear bushes, the wear in these shows up best when the weight is off the suspension.
edit-.
check its not the back door,i spent 2 weeks trying to find a knock on my suspension,it turned out to be the back door was out of adjustment, and a reardoor rubber buffer missing at the corner.

Not the door rubbers, not a drain cover. I'll have to have a go with the axle stands. Thanks everyone

Mine did that when I turned into my drive, as bongo leans over slightly to get in......change all the ARB bits.....rubbers,brackets and drop links.....all sorted for me...

The rubbers may look okay but will probably have turned to jelly and be just as supportive.
