Hi everyone, I just bought my first Bongo last week, a lovely Freda with 321away side conversion. need a few techie questions answered.
1) The ground clearance seems pretty poor, there is a large plastic engine cover which seems to drop down alot, is this normal?
2) Anyone know of a Bongo specialist garage in the Brighton area?
3) I want to get some touch up paint for the metallic green colour, where can I find the colour and somewhere to buy it?
4) the side decals are peeling off, does anyone produce new ones i could fit?
Have a look at my Bongo...........

that's all for the moment, Thanks for any help, Mike

hi and welcome
nice bongo
cant help with service for brighton area, sorry
you can find the paint code on the door pillar, it will be something like (examples 11v or 22v) you will probably have 2 codes as its 2tone, you can get paint from the bongo shop or evilbay by searching with these code numbers.
try using the search option with your other issues, there is some good info on the decals removal etc
also just for future reference try to keep your topic title specific to an individual question and post to the relevent category and you will get more of a response from the crew
, i think your questions may have been overlooked due to the heading
enjoy

Re: east sussex bongo servicing
BF member cabte (Carl) is a master decal maker and has done loads for Bongo owners - try PMing him.
There is a good Bongo mechanic in South Croydon which, although not near, is a straight run up the road. Or PM Alacrity (Geoff), who is a Bongo owning autobox specialist near Eastbourne (I think) and who may have a good recommendation for someone on the South Coast.
And welcome

I take my Bongo to Colin at http://www.countycarssussex.co.uk/ in Portslade
Reasonably priced and very good service
Realised yesterday my MOT ran out 10 days
Rang him this morning and said I am due to go away Tuesday and he has fitted me in on Monday
He has serviced and fixed problems since I have had the Bongo over 2 years
Ace guy

Email Ian to get him on the recommended garages list if he's not on it already
