Engine oil seeping
Hi, I wonder if anybody can help me out with this one. I recently was checking oil and fluid levels on my 2.5 td engine when I noticed a small oil leak coming from the right hand side of the engine. I thought I had smelt a small oil burn previously. When I took the van in for a service, I asked the mechanic to check out this leak. He came back to me with the answer ,"don't worry, a lot of bongo engines leak a little oil ". I for one know for a fact that an oil leak could indicate a failing cylinder head, but I have not experienced any other problems such as loss of power, emulsified oil, oily coolant. Has anybody encountered a reaction like this before, as I would rather take action now than suffer later. Many thanks for reading

Re: Engine oil seeping
Don't worry ...that's normal under the drivers side at the front of engine.....probably not in fact engine oil.(do you have to top up the oil)
More probably EGR gunk.....they all do it
