Back Light

Post by Bogmonster40 » Wed May 25, 2011 11:03 pm

I have just found water in my back light on my rear door. Can anyone tell me if this is a common problem and how i go about solving this. It does not appear easy to get to ?

I do have a toolbox, although where cars are concerned my tools are safest left in the house !!!

You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

"Missfixit70" absolutely bang on - this is obviously an inherent problem. If i could find where the water was getting in i would put a silicone seal there - but the solution sounds great 0 although i think i will get it into my local bongo garage !!

It's a pain of a job to do as there's that many clips, pins etc to undo and the help of the father in law helps   :D When you do get the light cluster off drill a couple of holes in the underside of the light and this will stop anymore water build up

Yup your right, Dunslair gave us the insight to visit here when we met him in Peebles last year, great spot for a picnic and to take in the views  :D
