Knight rider boost button!! (v6)

Hi everyone - I've just been preparing the old v6 for it's dreaded mot - and I've come across (unsure why I havent seen it before) a strange device that seems to be linked to something in the engine bay (can't trace cabling unfortunately).

The device has got 4 LEDs (numbered 1-4), a green power light - and the all important BOOST button!! it's got a manufacturers logo on top of it - linea rossa - but that's all. I've googles this name - but all it's coming back with is vauxhall astras and prada specs!!

In fear of ejecting my passenger or taking off at breakneck speeds - I thought I'd ask your advice first!!

Sounds like the speed trap detector I found on my Bongo. A row of lights and various buttons. Mine was a Super Cat Trap, great for catching any flying cats with their underpants on . It was hidden in the cubbyhole, dubious legality I suspect. Communication with the driver was via various bongs and phrases in Japanese. The under bonnet connection was to the battery for power. There was also an antenna box hidden behind the radiator grille.

Never worked in the UK, so I dumped it along with a lot of dead CD kit.

Most importers strip out clutter like this, but some gets missed.
