Should I be worried by empty expansion tank?
Hello all,
First time post, first time bongo owner.
Bought from a reputable bongo specialist, and only driven 50 miles home. Expansion tank empty, but was full when I left their premises.
Would you agree that an empty expansion tank is proof that (all else being well), the system has not been bled properly?.

Either not bled or you got a leak or more serious problem, as already said, get onto them pronto, do not just top it up & drive, I'd at least want the coolant system pressure testing then bled properly just to make sure. Good luck

You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

If they are a "reputable Bongo specialist" they will appreciate the importance of not just "topping it up".
If they don't, then they aren't a "reputable Bongo specialist".

Thanks very much for your prompt & helpful replies.
They haven't even bothered with any summer coolant/antifreeze - just water if colour is anything to go by

As already said (several times) - get the dealer to sort it. If not dealt with, it could be potentially expensive.
