Rear heater Fan

Hi again!
Whilst bleeding my van (before i ended up removing cylinder head ) i lost power to the rear heater motor.
There seems to be no power and i have checked all the fuses etc with no luck!
Front fan works fine.
Manual A/C.
Is there a relay/power pack that i can check??
Thinking of removing the rear heater altogether and going along the lines of fitting an eberspacher in place,but at moment im busy with fitting new head and all money is getting sucked into that!
Dont really want to strip out my side conversion right now,the van is in enough bits as it is!
Can i block off the rear matrix fairly easily as a temp/permanent solution untill i can get round to it ??

There are three fuses shown in GREEN run your mouse over them for pictures;

After that there is the relay G2-01 which is down by the unit, click on to the next page for its location.

My rear matrix failed when the stubs broke...if you examine the pipe runs to the heater radiator, you see one heater hose goes to a metal side-pipe on the chassis on the driver's side, and the other hose goes to a metal pipe which crosses to the metal pipe on the passenger side. Get a 2 metre length of 17 mm heater hose, connect to the driver's side pipe, and feed across to the passenger side metal pipe, cut to length and use constant pressure clamps to secure...that way you have one hose and 2 clips...thus simplifying the run. Mine has worked across temperature ranges from minus 18 to plus 32 C with no detrimental effects, and temperatures seem the same in the cooling system.

Or just block off those 2 hoses as Mazda did on the bongos that left the factory with only the front system (yes there are a few & the evidence is on the lushprojects diagrams) That part of the system is parallel to the front rather than a necessary part of the cooling/heater circuit. Mine has been runnning like that for @ 2 years.
Re the rear having lost power, it's not down to the "REAR" switch is it? switched off, broken or disconnected?

Thats one problem ticked off the list!
Thanks for the info everyone regarding blanking/bypassing rear matrix....def a job to do once the head is sorted and funds are topped up!

You can actually buy the proper rubber blanking caps from a Mazda dealer, to isolate the rear, there are part no's on lush somewhere amongst the 5 schematics you have to wade through for the cooling system The difficulty comes with the ac, I just cut the ally pipe, cleaned it up filled with some chemical metal & crimped over, been fine so far.

I shall eventually replace the rear heater, so mine was a temporary fix...I want the rear a/c anyway...helps keep the food in the back cool on a monthly shop...S*D the passengers , and the dogs need cool when they are in the back....but very tempted to leave the heater out as it doesn't seem to have done any dis-service to the cooling....We are only in Springtime and the high 20s/ Low 30s...so I'll wait and see what happens in summer!!!!!

Removing the rear heater should have absolutely no effect on the cooling, if it does, there's another issue somewhere. The front ac on mine is more than pwoerful enough to cool the whole bongo, it's not that big a space, especially once it's packed for camping & with all the conversion bits in.

Air con has no problem...and I find it works perfectly...it's only the rear heater

Ah..good idea to blank off with a conversion...or if you don't use the heater...Frankly, i also believe it is a waste of space, and I think ducting the hot air from the front would be far more useful.
