the rod should pull forward once the engine is started and sit around the mid point and 'bounce' back and forth if not then sthg's wrong, when turned off rod should return to its fully closed position, all the way backwards. if your rod isnt moving at all then something isnt working correctly

The rod is solid so I suspect its wound all the way open hence no power loss, how do I sort this? I dont want to completely knacker the turbo or the actuator that has just been replaced by driving it round too much if this light is flashing and there is no power loss.

When it went into the garage they said the actuator was too loose and was worn! Cant keep up with this! Need a garage that know what they are doing with these later models. Seems to me I'll need to travel South to get it sorted, but am bothered that it might be really bad for the turbo
