Sunroof on an AFT

Post by pistonbroke » Sun Jun 26, 2011 9:38 pm

Finally got the stepladder out and cleaned the sunroof - light now comes in. Is there supposed to be a flush-fitting seal around it? Mine has a trough which looks like a seal should be there. It doesn't leak, just looks like there's something missing. Also, does anyone know if there is an opening sunroof out there on other vehicles? Do later bongos have opening sunroofs, manual or electric?

The gap around the glass is normal. Our new van had loads of bits of conifer tree wedged in there. I'm not aware there was ever an electric version (only on tin tops).

Some tintops have electric opening sunroofs, but none open on the AFT`s,just a sliding door in the inside to let light in,
