Stalling while idling when engine is hot

Post by Sambino » Thu Jul 14, 2011 9:59 pm

Can anyone help? My 2.5TD Bongo doesn't like being hot. It always starts first time from cold and runs very nicely but when it gets hot and it has started stalling whilst idling. For example I pull off the motorway after a long journey then as soon as I have to stop at a round about or light the engine dies.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Sam

Or possibly a dodgy seal on the fuel pump.

if you add some clear pipe(window) in your fuel lines you can see if there is air getting in...or run it of a seperate fuel supply, poss could be something in the tank??

Could be any of the suggestions.......the only way is to start simple....like the cap...and work up to the Pump....
