the load rating is very low for a bongo they need to be at least 96 for the rear and 92 front

This site gives the MX5 dimensions for alloys. It doesn't look like they'll fit from this info.
The Bongo is 5 stud, PCD of 114.3 , and centre bore of 67.1mm.

Those tyres are no use at all - load index is not high enough. It should be a minimum of 92 front and 96 rear. They're also 7.5% too small, so your speedo would be well out.
Have a look at this site
http://www.nice-wheels.co.uk/ - you can check which wheels will fit and what size tyres you need.

there you go I had everything but the central bore which is too small.
they wont fit and the load rating of the tyres is too weak

The new MX5 wheels are 5 stud and have the same fitting as the Bongo - won't be many of them on Ebay yet though

If you're after second-hand, one to look out for is the Mitsubishi Pinnin alloys / tyres.
I run them with 215/65 x 16". They're basically imported Shoguns, so load-wise, they're fine.
I got 4 alloys, plus a steel spare, with good tyres, for under £250.

Hi, Sorry to bump this thread back up, but I didn't fully understand the answer.
Do the MX5 5 stud alloys fit the Bongo or not??
I picked up a set from eBay from a 2006 MX5, I was going to change the tyres from my Bongo and put them on the MX5 alloys.
Thanks in advance for any replies!!

You will need to ensure that the offset is the same on your existing wheels and the new alloys i.e. the distance from the face of the mounting plate to the centre of the tyre. It varies from car to car and if you don't get it right the wheel won't be in the same position relative to the wheel arch

Just wondering whether the alloys will be strong enough though?
