Any ideas chaps, I broke down today, looks like I ran out of fuel.....but....
there is plenty of fuel in the tank, but cant get any to the fuel filter.

Re: No fuel at my filter.......
No lift pump, could be a fuel hose has split (they are supposed to be replaced every 4 years according to the service schedule) or the strainer on the pick up has become blocked, or the tank breather isn't working right. Here's the schematic (assuming you've got a diesel) -

or this one if you're petrol -

Personally I'd try drawing through the filter from a know clean source (ie fuel can with a bit of hose connected to the inlet side of filter) to check the pump is working & filter & banjo strainer are clear . Check the pump, hoses & pipework for leaks.

You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

Re: No fuel at my filter.......
all sorted....
I pulled a vac on the hose from the tank to the filter (filter end) and all I could pull was air.
Traced it to a split hose.
Replaced the rubber hose and were on the road again.
Thanks for the link to the drawings.

Result
which hose was split? - Hose diagrams here

or

may help someone in the future with similar issues. Also would probably be worth replacing the rest of the hoses too as they'll probably all be the same age, not expensive to do either - http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... 0&start=15
