Has anybody fitted a towbar after they have fitted LPG ?? I have a problem that my 85 litre (73 usable) tank stops a stock towbar fitting in the usual way (good job I haven't bought a trailer yet!!)
I might end up fabricating one but if there's a supplier who has experience of this. Might let them do it. I also now have a brand new towbar sat on the garage floor !
Thanks
Tony

Re: LPG tank and tow bar
Without speaking to LPG imports, In hindsight it would have been a simple task if both had been fitted at the same time, then no doubt a smaller tank would be needed. My torroidal one just fits in the space between bumper and axle. A smaller tank would be an option but I only get about 250-280 out of this one.
Will speak to LPG but I suspect the bar I have will be a template for some extreme welding in a couple of weeks !!! If anyone has made or fitted a bar in similar circumstances could they post a picture or two please ??
Thanks to all

Re: LPG tank and tow bar
Which towbar have you got? there is no "stock" towbar, there are a few designs, the A1 type from what I can remember from fitting it, sits behind the spare wheel space, but you may have issues getting in to get some of the fixings in with a large lpg tank in place.A1tony wrote:Has anybody fitted a towbar after they have fitted LPG ??
