17" steel road wheel

Post by mentaliss » Sun Jul 31, 2011 7:50 am

looking to find a comparable steel wheel for spare/emergencies/get you home, as the alloys fitted came with the import and not available in this country.

hi it does not have to be a 17 inch as long as its close in running circumference
which should be as close to the origional size as possible anyway

As WW says, as long as the rolling diameter of the tyre is the same 9ie different tyre profile), it doesn't matter what size the wheel is. Saying that though, I managed to get hold of a tatty 17" alloy that fits straight onto the spare wheel bracket 9some don't without modification) as I ended up with a spare tyre the same as the 17" tyres I'm running.
I think Northern Bongolow still has a couple of the same 17" alloys lurking in his backyard if that's the route you want to go, he's away for the next few days though I think.
Not aware of a compatible 17" steel wheel.
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.
