leaky pipe !!!!!!! what one ?

Can anybody tell me what pipe this is that i have found leaking
the 1st pic is of the hose attached to it leading into the back of the gearbox




the next pic is of the pipe its self with a cable tie to point out which one it is






im looking to get Bhongo back on the road after driving a "normal car" (vectra) for 6 weeks and ive noticed im missing driving the Bhongo ..... So ill be asking some more stupid q's while getting him back up to scratch ....

Assuming it to be a diesel auto of earlier vintage, it looks like one of the auto transmission fluid pipes going forward to the cooler in the bottom of the rad, schematic here http://lushprojects.com/bongopartsmk2/c ... mgno=.html to get the part numbers click on the description on the left, one number is the drawing number, t'other should be the part number. Any Mazda Dealer should be able to supply. Or you could use a piece of oil resistant hose & a couple of clamps to facilitate a repair, or get a local fabricator to make up a new pipe - it is just a pipe after all

If that pipe is leaking, then obviously you need to check the autobox oil level - warm engine running, brakes on, slowly range through the gears, leave in P to check level, dipstick under drivers seat to the rear, if it needs filling its DIII auto transmission fluid & you fill through the dipstick, once its fixed, it may be worth changing the oil & cleaning the filter if you're not aware of it being done at any time - http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... =3&t=30096
