Temp sensor problems....

Post by dext924 » Wed Aug 03, 2011 9:52 am

we are currently enjoying Europe again, and while driving to Trier the temp alarm started beeping at me. When I looked down, it ready 00, as though engine temp was 0c. For the rest of the day it read 0 and when I started it this morning, it read 16. Has anyone else had this problem? I have checked all connections and it is hooked up fine.

Any thoughts :?

Hayden, its the one with a green digital readout of the temp and voltage, that fits in the blank switch space, the small one. Not sure if you do them any more. Had it about a year as I bought it with the basic low temp sensor.

No...don't do them anymore...the guy who made them dissapeared during the riots in Bankok.

Have a good look at the sensor wire and make sure it's plugged in o.k......if not the best I can offer is to return it for me to look at.

Found the problem. While checking everything, I found a bit of the sensor wire had slipped on to the heat guard of the exhaust and melted it. So a quick repair and all is good again :D
