Hi,
Just brought a Mazda Bongo this week. Kids very excited.
Went to work next day and left it on the drive at home. It seems that all most every kid in village had been invited in it and shown how the blinds work etc.
Come home and battery completley flat. This is now sorted but the side door won't open and the engine coil light keeps flashing. Took for 30min drive but door still won't open and coil light still flashes.
Are both issues related to flat battery and can anybody advise what to do?
Any help much apprecaited as I take it to France on Monday

Hi Southgates,
If the open sliding door was closed whith a flat battery the closing mechanism would not complete its cycle. You can try banging the door card as sugested.
You could and may need to remove the door card and release the mechanism,as described here.

give the door a good thump half way up the front from the inside
Re: Sliding Side Door and Engine Coil Light - Is it battery
Coil light flashing may be related to fuse 1? First fuse top left, 10amp, red one... Now this fuse does your cab courtesy light, but funny enough, also the memory settings for the radio & even weirder if blown or removed causes the coil light to flash when the engine runs...
Do you happen to have a leisure battery fitted at all?? Normally an LB runs this circuit (Intentionally for the interior lights) & could be the culprit if its dead!??
I also found that this two wire connector under the steering cowl, when disconnected as well as stopping the key in ignition beep makes the coil light flash when the engine runs...!
(Not my picture.)
Also a disconnected scavenger fan sensor connector by the hand brake under the centre console, while i'm on the subject!!
Side door...? Got no idea at all!!

Cheaper by comparison to a race horse...
