Can't really see how the CC could cause any issues.
Are there any visible fuel leaks from the pump or any of the fuel system? Could be worth checking the fule filler cap pressure relief jobby is working ok & not causing a vacuum in the tank? could be something partially blocking the fuel pick up in the tank? Maybe worth getting clean can of diesel & try drawing direct from that & see if it produces he same symptoms?
It may sound daft, but it's not something restricting the accelerator travel is it, ie smething stuck under the pedal? Are the revs going up ok & full movement of the throttle cable etc?
May be time to get it to a bongo specialist?

What is the history of the vehicle? Has this always been an issue? how long have you had it? do you know of any work that was done before you got it?

No fuel leaks and revs ok. if it on the flat it goes ok it just when u take a hill or gradient. I only just got the bongo but it has had some work done on the manifold and around the turbo coz you can see were they have used paste to seal

Sounds similar to a problem we had with our first bongo. If I remember right the fuel injection was the problem, but I'm not entirely sure as it was over a year ago now.

The problem we were having was when there was a slight gradient it would be difficult for the bongo to get past 40mph.. so if going onto a motorway and the slip road was going upwards, it was quite scary as it wouldn't pick up power enough to get me safely onto the motorway..

Is there much difference is the speed take up performance between a 2 wheel drive and a 4 wheel drive.

If it was messed about with before you got it, it could be fuel pump timing? Especially if cambelt has been done. Blocked injectors? mebe try some injector cleaner?

Just updated location tried everything except fuel but there was no muck in the bango filter i think that there is something faulty with the turbo.Also there is some strange looking device under the bonnet i think it is the cruise control uit but will take to a auto elec tomorrow. Also on this age bongo(n reg) does it have a diagnostic plug in

CC ecu is usually fitted behing the dash & the actuator gubbins is under the drivers seat, not usually anything under the bonnet for it

There is a diagnostic port for the ecu, there's a factsheet describing how to read it in the paid up members area, but it is fairly basic & usually you get a flashing glow plug light (or hold light for a gearbox problem) to signify there's an issue.

i notice that in 1 of the photos above it says to check that no pipes have come loose and the pipe that is showing has a tee piece in it mine does not it runs across the engine but there is one that goes down which is not showing on mine

That's a mod he's put in, it should just be straight pipe. Have you checked the large bore pipework going from the turbo to the intercooler to the inlet manifold is all connected ok & the intercooler is clear? - http://lushprojects.com/bongopartsmk2/c ... mgno=.html

It is a mod i put in! Sorry for confusion.. If you follow to the vac hose right of the tee piece, (under the conduit to another mod i did too.)

the big bore vertical pipe below, where it connects to the the metal elbow piece.

I had this come off & couldn't see it.. It wasn't till i got to a garage thinking my turbo was screwed & it had dropped a little further that it became apparent!! A cheap fix in the sense no money changed hands...

Took it to auto elec this morning he thinks that that part is to do with the cruise control tried some forte diesel treatment but has made no difference. Any more suggestions.
