distributor 2 litre

Hi, my 2002 1995c just purchased petrol bongo (auto) has broken down and has been in the garage for 4 days now.

The vehicle was cutting out, had no power up hills and eventually stopped going. The fuel filter was changed as was full of dirty metal particles. Now they are replacing the distributor. Will this solve my lack of power power and stalling problems.
