White plug by the handbrake switch ?

Post by tonnee » Thu Aug 18, 2011 11:09 am

Hi

Noticed last night I had a white plug not connected to anything by the handbrake switch under the centre console, then found a matching white plug tucked under the carpet, any idea what this is for before I connect it up ?

Cheers

I think i know the one!!? (Sort of hanging round part 64-326.) http://lushprojects.com/bongopartsmk2/c ... mgno=.html
Do you have working speakers in the back? Though funny enough, from memory it's a two wire connector...?

The speaker Q is sort of relevant.... 8-[ read somewhere that a connector for the rear speakers was in this vicinity???

Don't quote me.. I would have thought a 4 wire connector? However, it may just be for the drivers side rear...?

its a two wire connection, speakers all work fine Jaylee, I'll check the seatbelt warning light shortly then connect it together see what it does ?

Does the seat belt warning currently come on & go out when you strap in with the engine running..?

Scrap my last idea then...

Give me an hour & i can go out to mine & see what stops working when i disconnect...! 8-[ 8-[

hahah you know I have never even noticed a seat belt warning indicator :?

I'll connect it back up at lunchtime and see what lights up before you go unplugging yours then let you know
