side panel does not seem to fit properly

I had my van to dealer to have long runners put on. All the panels were off. Having not noticed before hand what the side panels looked like, I'm not sure if they were always like this or not.

Question is, how do I get a better fit as pushing hard does not seem to help..









This is the drivers side at the rear.

Either something is trapped behind the panel, or the spring clips have been bent & are not engaging properly. Could you pop it back to the dealer to rectify it? If not, it's quite easy to remove it to investigate the problem.

Probably needs to come off completely again, you may find some of the panel clips missing, bent or misalligned, or their mounting points possibly broken? A bit of fettling should see it right, not a major job.

The dealer chap is is a couple of hours drive south and he only added the runner for me. I can't say to was them that didn't put the panels back right or not. I'm hoping to pay a visit to the Scottish bash soon to maybe someone there can have a look see??
