I know what you mean about removal of the original washer jets from the bongo bonnet though... I spent 10 minutes or more trying to remove a pair from mine WITH THE BONNET REMOVED... And i still couldn't work it out!
Simon at the bodyshop had them both removed within 30 seconds, but he wouldn't let me see HOW!

The earliest Mondeo i had them fitted to was a 94 "M" Ady... I think most of the later versions have heated jets.Northern Bongolow wrote:what year mondeo are they off dave,![]()

cheers for that ste, scrappies soon.

According to my paypal receipt, they are from a Mk2 Mondeo / ST220. eBay listing has long gone, so I can't double check.Northern Bongolow wrote:what year mondeo are they off dave,![]()
IIRC, they needed a 11mm x 20mm rectangular cut-out in the brackets I made. I suppose with custom brackets, then pretty much any heated jets will do.

I reckon a 'calibrated' bit of oval pipe which you slip over the plastic lugs, and twist 90° to compress them, and they pop out - but there was no way my vast selection of long-nose pliers were going to manage it!bigdaddycain wrote:Simon at the bodyshop had them both removed within 30 seconds, but he wouldn't let me see HOW!![]()

They have deals on it occasionally (mainly in the summer) so I pop in when passing and get a stock in.
Never had a problem with it freezing in the container, the big bugbear is the jets freezing up but I've got some heated ones off a Mondeo that I must get round to fitting.
The premixed stuff is a rip off I reckon.
This is good stuff, it didn't freeze at all through the last few cold winters.

Nor mine Dave!... And i have a whole bunch of LNP variants! The whole shebang (sp?) seemed so brittle though!dave_aber wrote:I reckon a 'calibrated' bit of oval pipe which you slip over the plastic lugs, and twist 90° to compress them, and they pop out - but there was no way my vast selection of long-nose pliers were going to manage it!bigdaddycain wrote:Simon at the bodyshop had them both removed within 30 seconds, but he wouldn't let me see HOW!![]()
