A resounding success

Post by hairyneep » Mon Mar 12, 2012 6:27 pm

We had our first trip in the new motor last weekend. We stayed local in case we'd forgotten something but it all went perfectly.

The two year wait has been worth it for three of the best nights sleep I've had in ages, although that may have been due to the beer, wine, port and Glenlivet

We went to Deeside Holiday Park on the South Deeside Road, its virtually walking distance from home but it didn't matter, felt like a million miles away. On Sunday night we went to the hotel next door, The Old Mill Inn (Champers to those who remember it) and had a fantastic meal, the carvery was a sight to behold =D>

Ah, I know the pub well, I used to work in the building that was the old smiddy at the end of Leggart Terrace.

What tent is that?

Will be looking for one quite soon, is there plenty of space?

Glad its been a great success for you. You have plenty of folks near you who will be willing to help out with bongo related stuff. Will you manage to get down to the meet next month in Glencoe? If not I am sure you will make it to one at some point.

Nice looking Bongo you've got there. Glad to hear the first trip went well.

Having grown up in Peterculter I have to confess to knowing Champers  or at least the walk home from it

Doubt we'll get to Glencoe, it's terrible when work interferes with your social life. Will definitely meet up with you all again soon though.
