Just curious really, after talking to an old guy (bongo owner) the other day whilst fishing at what revs people's bongos sit at at 60 mph. I'm really only interested in others with a 2.5td 2wd but others are welcome to post for others information.

Re: Revs at 60mph?
Mine is usually around 2.2 to 2.5 depending on the road ( levle surface, incline etc) I never thrash mine at anytime. If you see a silver Bongo in the slow lane doing 50, that wil be me!

Surely other than for wheel circumference variations, all Bongo's most rev at the same speed for a given MpH when locked up, there is only a single gearbox for Auto versions and one for Manual ?

Yes in theory they should all be the same, that's what I'm trying to ascertain. Mine is also 2200-2500 rpm.

I believe it's 25mph per 1000rpm, so it should be 2400

Gear Ratios
(mph/2000rpm) for each
gear.
1st – 11.2MPH
2nd – 20.4MPH
3rd – 32.0MPH
4th – 50.3MPH
+/- 8%
