Yippee! Not far away, now!!
Van plus large tunnel tent - no hookup. We'll be 2+1 with dog.
We'd like to arrive on the 19th, though, so 3 nights stay if possible.

Blimey we are going to need a different pitch from last year if you are going to bring all that stuff Matt. Where they plonked us last year there was not enough room to swing a cat, never mind a large tunnel tent.Van plus large tunnel tent - no hookup. We'll be 2+1 with dog.

Backup plan - sleep in the yurt. (Feet will be poking out by a foot, though...MountainGoat wrote:Blimey we are going to need a different pitch from last year if you are going to bring all that stuff Matt. No - wait... hold on. I think I might have a campervan somewhere... I'll see if I can dig it out!

Re: Red Squirrel 20th-22nd April
Don't worry Matt. I even turned up late last year and there was plenty of space.........

Re: Red Squirrel 20th-22nd April
Hmmmm I have had a look a t the campsite map and I think I know where to ask for this year. A pitch I can rope off to deter interlopers

Sounds like with quite a few vans we may be spread out a bit anyway, if my memory of the site is correct.... the hard standing kind of meanders around the site. Looks like we may be late (as ever) away from Glasgow

Re: Red Squirrel 20th-22nd April
We have 12 confirmed so I will phone the site next week or maybe get OH to do it for me as if I remember rightly the manager didn't take me seriously last time but. co.uk had some joy in getting the space saved for us................ well most spaces

Re: Red Squirrel 20th-22nd April
I only just learned how to use a forum, so hope this works. Please add another to the Red Squirrel weekend. One Bongo, one person and one dog for the Sat night. Chris

Re: Red Squirrel 20th-22nd April
Keira has made the finals of the Scottish Schools climbing comp in Glasgow, so just the Saturday night for us. May be a bit late up, depending on how long it takes at the comp, so will just have to take a chance on getting a space. look forward to seeing you all.
Cheers
David.

Re: Red Squirrel 20th-22nd April
Friday and Saturday nights for me, hope to arrive mid afternoon on Friday before the midges get up.
Still got the Bongo, could be my last trip in it.
. Don't worry I will still be around one way or another.
Will bring my boots with me so may get a bit of walking in this time if I am not tempted with another sea food restaurant.
