Loose driver's side mirror glass

Post by catzi » Wed Jun 06, 2012 6:29 pm

Hi Folks,

The glass in my driver's side mirror is slightly loose - it seems to be diconnected somewhere towards the bottom of the glass. It all works ok but 'shivers' annoyingly when driving.

Is there a straightforward way to remove the glass to see what the problems is?

Thanks.

not done one myself but ive heard they are mounted on plastic clips to the mount, try pushing if back in first to see if it will snap back into place, if not one of the clips may be broken. you could use a glass sucker/clamp and lever it out carefully, i think the bongo shop sells replacement glasses.

That makes sense - I'll have to see if I can remove it but I have a feeling that, as you say, one of the clips is broken.

What you will see is four clips on the back of the mirror glass that corresponds with the mounting points on each corner of the mirror angle adjuster.... (The white bar.) They should as Ady says, just snap in..

This is the full electric version..
