Re: Rough start up/smoke.
Hi
I've very similar problems to those described here:
A few months ago I noticed quite a lot of smoke on start up, and some spluttering. After 10-20 s all was fine.
I had a full service done and MOT as they were due, and hoped the oil change etc... would improve things, but it didn't.
Took in to the garage last week as the problem was getting worse - it was found that 2 of the glow plugs were not working, so they got replaced.
However, the problem is now worse than ever, so much that I could hardly start the engine the other day. A lot of smoke came out and I didn't actually drive anywhere for fear of not getting home again...
I'm no mechanic so entirely reliant on the garage. Their last idea is for me to take her in and they'll check the fuel injectors - however see no mention in any of the posts?
One problem I have had is that by the time I get to the garage the Bongo is fine and so doesn't display any symptoms! I will take her the night before next time. Hope the garage can fix her without blowing a hole in my bank account...
Any thoughts/ideas very welcome!
thanks,
