wow it arrived this morning, not bad considering I ordered it 5pm friday, I have opened it and read the instructions, but there's nothing relating to the two angle brackets and 4 screws that came with it, I know its for securing the frame, but the screw holes don't align with anything on the frame,

I have sent for the ISO adapter as the wiring in mine is a right mess, the original connectors have extended wires going to the connectors that went in the Jap radio and the colours don't match either, but one good thing the original 2 din cage fits a treat. so in the meantime I thought I'd put a supply on without the speakers just to see it illuminated, couldn't get it to do anything, so packed up trying, when I got in the house I realized I hadn't connected ACC wire, where does this come from and what does ACC stand for

Re: MADE IN JAPAN
ACC = Accessory which is the 12v switched feed from the ignition. definitely won't power up without it

Update, Iso adapter came this morning £2.90 F + P checked the connections all good connected everything up and switched on set it all up Radio ,DTV, set time and date set car balance and mode, tried out everything except GPS & bluetooth al absolutely fantastic, a couple of questions now where and what type of sat nav for Britain do I need, whats KEY1 & KEY 2 there's a mention of 5volts. also why isn't the illumination cable fitted, on Geoffs wiring diagram it shows it as a red&black wire going to ISO A6, but in mine it has been disconnected from the bongo ISO and was fed via its own fuse from a wire that goes god knows where, when I cross reference 98 it opens page 66 and where the cable leaves the TNS relay contact it it seen connecting at several points with a solid dot but the connection to ref 98 is a hollow dot is this significant Geoff, http://www.g8dhe.net/bwm/bwmanualp.htm?1997/Page_66 Colin

Fitting one of these has been covered before.
What you will probably have to do is move the GPS aerial socket (number 17) as it comes right where the big tube is in the back of the dash area.
Its easy enough to take the back off, drill another hole in it and move the socket over.
I got an adapter kit for the plugs off ebay, bit crowded getting all the wiring in but all goes in with a bit of care.

For some reason the second page of the thread wasn't there when I was looking at it so didn't realise you had already fitted it colin. Glad its sorted OK. Is the satnav IGo, most of them seem to be. If so the speed camera warnings from here can be loaded onto the SD card.
