Auto changing in the dark....

Post by hooch » Thu Sep 27, 2012 9:17 pm

First time night driving in the Bongo tonight.

There was no illumination around the auto shifter, so I had to guess my way though the changes.

Is there normally any illumination?

If yes how do I reach the bulb and what type is it please?

The first two photo's on this link show how to access the light after removing the centre console - http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... 41#p386041

On a similar subject - is D supposed to light up on the dashboard when you are in drive? I've got all the other lights OK. But I also don't have a hold light - am I supposed to get one?

For post '99 vehicles with the gear selector indicator on the dash, you should have one for D & one for hold. The D one will get the most use, so is most likely to blow. Can't recall exact model of bulb required, but there are 3 types in the cluster & it's the grey ones (I think) you need.
