Reversing light bulbs

Post by David Edwards » Fri Dec 28, 2012 7:50 pm

As most will know the bulbs in the bongo reversing lights are pathetic and give as much light as a candle, I want to upgrade, at the mo I have two beeping bulbs in, which are no better, I am going to fit a reversing alarm soon (already bought) as soon as the weather permits, has anyone upgraded the bulbs for more light and if so, which ones to use safely please, I might even rig up a spotlamp as an extra reversing light, failing all else.

I've mounted an extra light in the rear bumper along with a fog light, shows up through the tailgate mirror just enough.

We've done "Reversing middle seats" to death, now we've got "Reversing light bulbs"

Why can't Bongo owners leave well alone?

Would greatly appreciate an idiot's guide/walkthrough on how to install this. I'm a total plonker at mechanics/electrics, but would love to have a go at this :D
