thanks for everyones help and advice on here, its really really appreciated.

got the front blower going again, bought a soldering iron and fixed the heater resistor so alls good again!! 8)

still no joy with the horn....pretty sure its going to be the relay thats gone. would this just be a straight replace job or can it be mended?

The relay is nothing special a standard Mazda one should be adequate I seem to remember them being H270 type 20Amp rating, there not usually repairable unless you are very lucky. Check the type on the printing on the side of the relay, normally available from Ebay but watch the prices !
